B.A. Johnston set to release Gremlins 3 … and premieres new single “I Need Donair Sauce” !

January 27, 2017 in news

Beloved ‘failed showman’ B.A Johnston is back with his 11th studio album and he’s hoping to finally gain the widespread acclaim he deserves, even if it is for getting sued by someone famous.

Gremlins 3 was recorded at The Echo Chamber and The Quarantine studios and was produced by Mathias Kom (of the underrated Canadian rock act, Burning Hell) as well as beatsmith Stephan Macleod (Windom Earle). This album differs from the other stink burgers in B.A.’s catalogue as it includes an actual backing band on six tracks (the talented Reaguns Rayguns from Saint John, NB). On top of this, every single song features actual instruments played by actual musicians, and not just B.A. Johnston. The songs tread on common themes of B.A – beer, cheap beer, drinking said beer and getting high at work.

The lead single, “I Need Donair Sauce,” premieres today via King of Donair, Canada’s home of the delicious sandwich . Check out the power pop ode to the sweetened garlicky condiment :

The album is being released on vinyl and digitally by Wyatt Records on March 3rd.
