Canadian ambient-pop duo You’ll Never Get To Heaven to drop its third full-length

March 13, 2017 in news

Canadians Alice Hansen and Chuck Blazevic combine their musical talents as the ambient-pop duo You’ll Never Get To Heaven.  Hansen is a classically trained pianist and violinist and Blazevic is a studio-set sound-sculptor and monomer performer.

As You’ll Never Get To Heaven, they create radiating to reflective, melodic dream-pop compositions that hover, diffuse, and dissipate like vibrant, waking reveries.  Hansen vocally presides over the sometimes delicately gauzy, other times vividly burnished sonics with a sweetly bright, girlish tone.  Three singles have premiered so far; the title track, the Cranes-like “To Be Fair”, and “Beyond The Clouds”.

The duo’s third album, Images, is set to appear on March 24th via Yellow K Records (Japanese Breakfast, Eskimeaux, Seagulls).  This LP follows the pair’s self-titled debut in 2012 and 2014’s Adorn.  Those albums were released on independent record labels Divorce Records and Mystic Roses, respectively.  Images will be available worldwide on vinyl and in digital format via Yellow K and on limited edition cassette via Mystic Roses.

You’ll Never Get To Heaven is in the planning stages of its first European and North American tours in support of Images.
